Setup Steps

Six steps. Ten minutes.

Follow them in order.

Recommended First

Charge before you begin.

Your POV One ships with a partial charge. For best results, charge it fully (about 60 minutes) before starting setup.

  1. Connect the magnetic cable to the right temple.
  2. Plug into a 5V / 1A USB adapter.
  3. Wait until the LED turns from red to blue.
No fast chargers. Quick Charge or Power Delivery bricks can damage the battery. Any standard phone charger works.
01

Power on.

Press and hold the front physical button (right temple, closer to the lens) for 2 seconds.

Voice prompt confirms power. LED blinks blue = searching for phone.

To power off later: Press and hold the same button for 5 seconds.
02

Download the HeyCyan app.

Free. iOS 13+ or Android 8.0+.

Get the right one. The publisher is "Glasses Dev" (Android) or "Shenzhen Qingcheng Future Technology" (iOS). A different app called "Cyan Glasses" is not the same.
03

Open the app.

No account needed — just two taps.

6
Tap your glasses on the discovery screen, then tap Connect.
Device discovery — tap Connect
Android users: Location Services must be on. Android requires it for Bluetooth discovery — your location isn't actually used.
Firmware update prompt. Right after pairing, HeyCyan may prompt you to install a firmware update. Keep your glasses close to your phone, tap Update, and let it finish before continuing. Updates take 2–5 minutes.
My glasses don't show up in the list.
Check the LED is blinking blue (not solid). Solid blue means already paired with another device — turn that device's Bluetooth off and retry. Otherwise: forget the "POV One GS4 Max" entry in Bluetooth settings, restart the glasses and app, then retry.
05

Take the in-app tour.

HeyCyan includes a 10-step walkthrough of every button and touchpad gesture. Wear your glasses and follow along.

The tour covers: take photo, record video, sound recording, AI assistant, image recognition, and touchpad gestures (volume, play/pause, skip).

Worth doing once. It only takes a couple of minutes and you'll know exactly what every gesture does.

Take your first photo.

You're done with setup. Capture the moment.
